自然界に生きる全ての者達は、すべてが何らかの関わり合いを持って生きています。その関係が一つでも崩れれば、全てが狂い始めます。その状況をパズルという形で表現しました。一つ一つは北海道を代表する動物たちがモチーフですが、この中には絶滅危惧の状況にあるものもいます。一つピースを失えば全てのバランスが崩れ出す、、。一つもなくす事なく組み合わせなくてはいけないのです。しかしここには一つはまっていないピースがあります、それは人間です。本来人間も自然の一部ですが、普段はなかなか気にしていません。今一度そのことを意識して、このパズルに戻ることが必要ではないでしょうか。

All living things on this planet interact with each other in one way or another. Breaking even one small part of these relationships triggers an eventual collapse of the whole system. This puzzle symbolizes the interdependence that is found in the natural world. Each piece represents a different animal indigenous to Hokkaido Island. Some are in danger of extinction. Sadly, if an extinction were to happen, the resulting imbalance would cause everything to collapse. We cannot allow any of these pieces to be misplaced. One last piece is needed to complete the puzzle: human beings. We sometimes forget that we are part of nature. We need to remember that we are of this puzzle and that we need to continue to hold our space.
