私たち人類が誕生する遥か昔、古生代の時代から生き続けて来た昆虫。彼らは生き残る為にたくさんの術を作り出してきました。様々な色や模様の「警戒色」は毒がある事を示すことで自らの身を守るサバイバル術の一つです。そんな警戒色を「自転車用ヘルメット」に塗ってゆきます。視認性が悪い夜や雨天の危険を回避する為に昆虫の警戒色を利用してみようと思います。昆虫達の優れた才能を学び手本とすることで、これからの社会に最も必要な「自然に学ぶことの大切さ」を実感してほしいと思います。

Insects have lived on since the Paleozoic era, long before humans emerged, and they have developed various skills to survive. One of their survival skills is “alarming coloration,” in which insects utilize various colors and patterns on their bodies to indicate that they are poisonous. We try to reproduce such “alarming colorations” on our bike helmets. Our “alarming coloration” helmets will stand out in conditions when visibility is poor. By closely studying the ingenious capabilities of insects, we hope to pass on to our children the importance of learning from nature. It is the one of the best teachers for human society. 85 “Bug-Mets” completed.
